NAPC Virtual Summer Short Course

SAVE THE DATE! NAPC VIRTUAL SUMMER SHORT COURSE AUGUST 20-21, 2025.  REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 02, 2025 

Every other year, the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions (NAPC) hosts the Virtual Summer Short Course (VSSC)—a two-day online training designed to explore emerging topics and preservation fundamentals.

This year’s VSSC will feature six expert-led sessions, shaped by feedback from NAPC members:

• Understanding and Updating Local Preservation Ordinances
• Community Outreach Strategies
• Tough Cases: Applying the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation
• Setting Preservation Priorities: What’s Essential and Where Can You Be Flexible?
• Conservation Districts, Easements, and Other Preservation Tools
• Best Practices for Meeting Procedures, COAs, and Staff Reports

If CLGs plan to have their commission members virtually attend the NAPC Virtual Summer Short Course, CLGs may submit a request for reimbursement for their attendance. 

No application or match is required.
