Historic Preservation Fund Subgrant FY23

In accordance with the requirements of our federal grant, we will hold a public meeting on September 26, 2023 at 10:00am.  This will be an opportunity for the public to provide its comment on whether the NSHPO should awarded any, a portion, or all of their requested funds to the following applications received by the deadline identified below:

Every year, the Nevada State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) awards subgrants from the state’s annual Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) award.  Due to limited federal funds, these subgrants are only available to Certified Local Governments (CLG).  In addition, the subgrant award process is very competitive. 

We encourage you to review the Subgrant Manual revised 8/17/2023 before completing any application for an HPF subgrant.  PLEASE NOTE: The manual was revised to remove the restrictions on Public Education Programs.

This application will be used for all program areas (Planning, Survey and Inventory, National Register, Documentation, Pre-Development and Development, and Education).  The SHPO has set aside $110,000 for subgrants to support all program areas in FY23. 

PLEASE NOTE: We are not accepting applications for NAPC’s FORUM 2024 currently. If CLGs plan to have their commission members attend the NAPC Virtual Summer Short Course August 23 - 24, 2023, CLGs should submit a request for reimbursement along with the appropriate documentation and a summary of their feedback after the event. No application or match is required. • The application consists of six (6) parts:

1. Application Cover

2. Affidavit for Matching Funds Form

3. A signed Equal Opportunity Statement or equivalent if not previously provided in a prior year.

4. Debarment Certification Form for "Lower Tier Covered Transactions" [check Part B and sign]

5. Budget Forms

6. Program Area Form.  Please pick one program area below for your application and complete only that form (do not send in blank forms for other program areas).  Continuation pages can be used for any program area.
