Local residents nominate Lund Grade Schoolhouse to National Register of Historic Places

As part of an ongoing effort to preserve America’s past, on Monday, the National Park Service (NPS) listed the Lund Grade School in Lund, White Pine County in the National Register of Historic Places. The National Register is the nation’s official list of places worthy of preservation, namely those with special historic and/or cultural significance.

Public Meeting for Review of Round #2, Historic Preservation Fund Sub-Grants, FY18

A limited amount of grant funds will be available through the second round of the annual Historic Preservation Fund award from the National Park Service. The public is invited to review grant applications that were submitted to the State Historic Preservation Office by September 21, 2018. Grants can support public education, surveys, planning, archaeological investigations, and building restoration.

Take the Online Historic Preservation Survey #2

The Nevada State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) is providing this second online survey during the development of the state's strategic Historic Preservation Plan to gather information from the public about the preservation goals, objectives, and tasks that the state’s partners will achieve in the next decade. Once complete, the Nevada Preservation Plan for 2020-2028 will be implemented by all historic preservation partners in Nevada. The current plan, which will expire December 2019.
