Friends Groups

Friends groups focus on areas of interest and assist land managers (such as the National Park Service or Nevada State Parks) through supporting programs and assisting with projects, some of which are beyond the reach of agencies. A great way to become involved is to LEARN about an area, JOIN a group, and ADVOCATE for preservation.

LEARN- connect with friends groups online or at meetings. They are knowledgeable about their areas and are happy to educate the community.

JOIN- friends groups hold events and provide numerous types of volunteer opportunities.

ADVOCATE- sign petitions, generate support for, and speak up on behalf of preserving the group’s area of interest.
