Materials provided on this page are available for download. You are welcome to print any of these materials and distribute them how you choose. The goal of our outreach materials are to educate the public on the importance of preserving cultural resources and to provide the public an avenue to report any impacts they may find. These placemats promote Citizen Stewardship by asking people to Explore Archaeology, Report Damages, and Protect Nevada.* **

Comic/Coloring Book Explore Archaeology

This comic book provides reasons why we need to leave artifacts where they are found. It is great as a hand out at events, as classroom reading material, and more.* **

(Both Comics below print on 8.5” x 11” paper.  The Comic Full Color prints in landscape orientation.  If your printer only prints one-sided, download and print the files marked FRONT and BACK.  First print one file, then flip over and reinsert your printed pages, and then print the second file. If your printer can print double-sided, download and print the DUPLEX file; choose “Flip on Short Side” option in the print dialog. The Comic Coloring Book will print best in portrait orientation. If your printer can print double-sided, choose “Flip on Long Side” option in the print dialog. )

Junior Ranger Archaeology Book

This book shows how archaeologists study the past. Activities are separated into 3 different age groups making this a great book for all. Facing pages can be printed to be stand-alone worksheets for classrooms or more.  Badges are available by calling 702-486-5011.*

(Prints best in full color, on 8.5” x 11” paper.  When printing the entire book, a printer capable of double-sided printing is recommended)

Pioneer Adventure County Travel Game 

This game is based on a 1908 map of Lincoln County, Nevada. It has a many variations for play and is great for families, classrooms, outreach tables, and more.*

(For the following martials use plain 8.5" x 11" printer paper and print one-sided. After printing the game board of your choice, trim each page carefully and piece together.  Scotch tape will hold the board together for temporary use, or the pieces can be glued to a backing for a more durable product.)

(For the following materials print on cardstock for durability. Print 8.5" x 11" paper, one sided and you only need copy each of the Game Pieces and Legend Cards.)
